Persimmon for a Fruitful Winter

I am a recent convert to the delicious taste of persimmon. We have a tree at Extension’s Brazoria Environmental Education Station (BEES) orchard in Angleton that produced fruit with a sweet and almost jelly-like flesh that was outstanding in taste and texture. I invite you to consider persimmon for your home orchard. The Brazoria County Master Gardeners Association celebrates home orchard production with a FREE Citrus and Fruit Tasting Seminar on Saturday, December 8. Citrus expert and Texas Master Gardener Gil Livanec presents an advanced viewing of citrus and fruit, as well as blueberry varieties offered for sale in early 2019.
