Texas Master Gardener Specialist – First Detector Training Pest and Pathogen Surveillance Program

$125; registration fee includes lecture, hands-on-instruction activities, thumb drive with resource materials, two lunches and Friendship Dinner. (Spouse may attend the Friendship Dinner for an additional $35)

Texas Master Gardener First Detector Training Pest and Pathogen Surveillance Program will cover the importance of monitoring for high risk pests, basic plant disease diagnostic skills, proper methods and procedures to sample and submit a diagnostic sample, photography for diagnostics, methods for preventing the introduction of diseases of concern and other related disease problems. Texas Master Gardeners will work toward program certification by completing 20 volunteer hours of service.

Important: Each registrant must submit a letter of recommendation from your County Extension Agent. This training conference is limited to 30 attendees; limited to only 2 Texas Master Gardener participants per county. Deadline for registration is June 1, 2018.
